you will find all kinds of interesting collections ...

You will see some early Radios that families would gather around at night,
to listen to the evening News and keep up with the latest radio programs,
The Adventures of Superman

The Shadow...

Among the collections,

You will find memorabilia from days gone by like,

Local Indian Artifacts,
the Civil War,
World War I & II,

and other historical artifacts.

Also, when you visit the Emmett Kelly collection,
you will notice a collection honoring another Kansas born native,

"Sparky" the Clown

"Sparky", was non other than, D. W. Washburn
D. W. Washburn was born July 7, 1940 in Chanute, Kansas
